Kelly Kretschmar, Queen Colleen 2008-2009

Sponsor: The American Legion Post #1 Kelly is a full time student at Metropolitan State College in Denver and plans to graduate with a major in Psychology and a minor in Communications.   She is on the Dean’s List, and the National Scholar Honors Society. Kelly is very involved in her community, volunteering at various organizations striving to make a difference.

The Queen Colleen tradition began in 1971 when the Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee crowned the first Queen Colleen to reign over the 9th Annual Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade. Prior to that the parade had named a Queen of the Emerald Isles to do the honors. This year we invited all former Queens to participate in the parade.
